Thanksgiving is a time to spend with your family and loved ones. The Washington State Patrol (WSP) family celebrated the holiday with a feast at our Property Management Division Office. The lunchtime meal brought together more than 100 employees from various divisions across the Thurston County area.

“This is an opportunity for employees to take a break from their daily grind and to sit together and enjoy a great meal,” said Captain Shane Nelson, Property Management Division. “At the end of the day, employees are helping their community through food and financial donations.”

Employees had the option of bringing a canned food donation and/or also contributing a financial donation to the Combined Fund Drive. WSP employees donated 235 pounds of food to the Thurston County Food bank. An additional $918 was raised through employee donations for the Providence St. Peter Hospital Pediatrics Unit.

For an hour, staff enjoyed ham, turkey, and home-made stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, salad, rolls and dessert.  For more than 25 year Property Management has hosted the feast.
