“On November at 29th, a group of amazing volunteers came to the Washington State Patrol District Five Headquarters in Vancouver to pack 100 appreciation bags for Clark County deputies, officers, and troopers. The bags will be handed out by the same volunteers this Friday night during the areas “Night of 1000 Stars” event.
Night of 1000 Stars is a way to recognize area law enforcement officers for outstanding efforts in reducing serious injury and fatality collisions. Washington Traffic Safety Commission Director Darrin Grondel will be this year’s keynote speaker. After the event, officers will team up and participate in a countywide saturation patrol to remove impaired drivers. For more information on the event, click here.
The term “Night of 1000 Stars” represents the concept of a thousand officer’s badges shining through the night, casting light on the problem of impaired driving collisions that result in the tragic loss of a loved one. Be responsible this holiday season, “Driver Sober or Get Pulled Over”.”
