If you follow Trooper Will Finn (@wspd5pio) on Twitter, you probably saw his virtual ride along with Trooper Jacob Payne!
The two District 5 troopers spent Monday, March 27, 2017, showing followers what a trooper’s day-to-day grind looks like around Lewis County.
“Lewis County provides a wide range of traffic law enforcement. There is the fast-paced freeway with heavy traffic flows and the more scenic, slower paced east county, where expansive farmland can be seen. Lewis County lends itself to be dynamic and unpredictable. You never know where your work day will take you!” said Trooper Finn.
(Selfies aren’t really part of a trooper’s work day, but when the opportunity presents itself…why not)
Trooper Finn finished off the day by sending a quick video to his followers, thanking everyone for “riding along.”
Trooper Payne added, “A career with the Washington State Patrol is very diverse, having no so-called average work day. As troopers, we go out and work as traffic law enforcement officers but have the opportunity to assist other local law enforcement agencies and are trained and prepared for any law enforcement type duties. Every day, troopers are out enhancing the safety and security of our state by providing the best in public safety services.”
Hope you’ll join us for our next virtual ride along!
