Earlier this month, Washington State Patrol Chief John R. Batiste promoted six individuals who have gone above and beyond for the State of Washington and its citizens.
“This is a great group of talented folks who contribute tremendously to the agency’s success,” Chief Batiste said during the promotion ceremony.
These six individuals will assume their new positions with the goal of making Washington a safer place to be.
Johnny R. Alexander
Promoted from Special Operations Division Captain to Assistant Chief of the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Bureau .

Gene P. Lawrence
Promoted from Forensic Laboratory Services Standards and Accountability Manager to Crime Laboratory Division Commander.

Bruce A. Maier
Promoted from Impaired Driving Section Sergeant to Lieutenant of the Impaired Driving Section.

James P. Prouty
Promoted from Government and Media Relations Sergeant to Lieutenant of the Investigative Assistance Division.

William R. Stellmacher
Promoted from Trooper assigned to Colfax to Sergeant assigned to Chehalis.

Alyssa A. Harwick
Promoted from Communications Officer 2 in Communications Division to Communications Officer 3 in Communications Division.
